With sweeping views of farmland and the Pirongia and Te Miro Hills in the distance, Lauriston Park is quickly becoming one of Cambridge’s most sought-after retirement communities. Impact Tiling has recently completed work on fitting out the facility, so in this blog, we take a look.
Situated on the highest point in Cambridge, the Lauriston Park complex by Arvida Living Well Community is an easy and convenient walk to Leamington village for cafés, shops, supermarket and medical centre.
Phase one of the complex opened early 2022. The complex features 15 one-bed townhouses / villas, 183 two-bed and three-bed villas and a new care centre providing assisted living, rest home accommodation and specialised dementia care.
The homes have a Lifemark 4-star rating, meaning they’re well designed for ageing in place. Functional tiled areas feature prominently in the designs, with tiled bathrooms and laundries. The large showers (1200 x 1200) feature frameless glass, while Warmup undertile heating has been installed in the bathrooms for extra comfort and functionality.
Impact Tiling Commercial Manager Paul Le Normand says working with Arvida Group on the project has been great.
“We have a great working relationship with Arvida, who we’ve been working with for the last 3 years or so,” he says.
Arvida is one of New Zealand’s larger operators of retirement village and aged care facilities in New Zealand, with 38 retirement communities throughout New Zealand.
“This Lauriston Park job came about after we successfully completed their Coppercrest Village in Tauranga. They are a very professional company and deliver quality work.”
